Weighing is how people guess what is inside a sealed pack without opening it. Holofoil cards weigh a little more than plain ones, so a pack holding a holo is fractionally heavier than one that doesn’t. With a precise enough scale you can sort a box into “probably has a holo” and “probably doesn’t.”
